Was a country girl ready for the harsh life of the YWCA Richmond? Doery House, the YWCA hostel at 353 Church Street, Richmond, Victoria, should have been a home away from home for teenage girls from the country residing there in the late 1960s. Alas, this was nowhere near reality.
