The land which is now occupied by Wedderburn & neighbouring towns was originally occupied by the Dja Dja Wurrung people for thousands of years. The development of the towns all had a history of exploration, pastoral stations, the impact of the discovery of gold an the coming of the railways. This book, through text and photographs, provides an insight into how Wedderburn and its neighbouring towns developed their urban infrastructure comprising local governments, meeting places, churches, recreation facilities, schools and local businesses. They also provide an insight into the local heritage values o the towns with comparisons made to the present day with considerable optimism for their future as viable and sustainable communities as shown by photographs taken in 2019.
