This book has been a labour of love for society stalwart Audrey Dodson, produced in a then and now format of colour and black and white photos.

It also features recollections of Cecilia Hillman as a 10-year-old in 1900 and Ms Dodson’s own recollections as well.

The front cover features the iconic Algerian oak tree planted by Norman Patterson Webster in 1901 on the grounds of the Pakenham School to mark the Federation of the Australian states. The land later became home to the consolidated school and now Main Street Village, where to oak remains.
