This book, the first of a series, is the accumulated knowledge of dairying in Victoria, and is made available to every dairy farmer in the state. The first 5 chapters are devoted to general subjects such as records, prices, legislation and mechanization on dairy farms in the Commonwealth. The remaining 22 chapters deal very fully with Victorian conditions-breeds and breeding, management, calves, crops and feeding, buildings and equipment, milk production, diseases and pig breeding. The book is well written and illustrated, and has a useful index. A.W.M.
