On the 16th February 1983 – Ash Wednesday – many areas in the State of Victoria underwent an ordeal by fire, including the twin towns of Macedon and Mt. Macedon. As the next day dawned our people were mourning the deaths of seven of our friends and neighbours and the loss of hundreds of homes.
This book acknowledges that disaster and tells of some of the effects it had upon our communities.
It is but one story among the myriad that are yet to be told.
