The La Trobes’ Music: celebrate the role music played in the life of the La Trobe family while they lived at ‘Jolimont’.

Musicians will perform the music that would have echoed around ‘Jolimont’ in the time of the La Trobe family.
• the piano sonatas composed by La Trobe’s father Christian Ignatius
• a song transcribed by Georgiana McCrae at ‘Jolimont’
• violinists play folk songs which the family would have sung around the Broadwood piano they brought with them to Melbourne in 1839.
Guided tours of the Cottage will be available throughout the afternoon.
