The Greater Shepparton Biennial Bruce Wilson Memorial Heritage Lecture 2022
What do the grandstand at the Shepparton Showgrounds, St Brendan’s Church, Ambermere and many of our lovely older buildings have in common? They are just some of the works of Shepparton’s prolific turn-of-the-century architect John Augustus Kenny Clarke.
This year hear a local tell us about the renowned and engaging architect, cycling enthusiast and Agricultural Society stalwart J A K Clarke.
Evan Lloyd, heritage enthusiast and Goulburn Valley local, will deliver the 2022 Heritage Lecture. Evan, having studied Architecture and Cultural Heritage Management at University and growing up in a Clarke designed home, is well connected to Shepparton’s own architect who designed many notable public buildings and graceful private houses in the district.
Wednesday 10 August 2022 | 1pm & 6pm
Senior Citizens’ Centre,
132 Welsford Street, Shepparton
The 6pm Lecture will also be available interactively on Council’s website and YouTube
