La Trobe and his Horses: Testing Times – a talk with the C J La Trobe Society
Speaker: Peter Hiscock AM, former director the Sovereign Hill outdoor museum at Ballarat, and life-long horseman.
Peter will focus on the horsemanship of Charles Joseph La Trobe and the horse as a major player in the settlement of the Port Phillip District / Colony of Victoria – a fact so often neglected in the historical narrative.
Includes a delicious afternoon tea.
