Join us at this timely seminar presented by the RHSV’s Heritage Committee.
In the context of a major revamp of the Victorian planning system, this seminar asks how we can house more people and integrate heritage into new neighbourhoods. How could we modify Plan Victoria to make full use of heritage as anchor and focus for new neighbourhoods?
It will be chaired by Charles Sowerwine, RHSV Heritage Committee and the distinguished speakers are:
- Christine Branagan, Boroondara Heritage Group for Advocacy and Protection, on the challenge of Plan Vic
- Michael Buxton, Emeritus Professor Environment and Planning at RMIT University, on the challenge of planning for density
- James Lesh, Founding Director, Heritage Watch, on the history of the heritage-housing challenge
- Mike Scott, Founding Director, Ethos Urban, on heritage and planning for future needs
