The Polish Museum and Archives in Australia Inc. (PMAA) warmly invites you to the book launch of “Our Journeys in Australia 1947 -1977”, on Saturday 1st February 2025 at Tobruk House, Melbourne, at 2pm.

“Our Journeys in Australia 1947-1977” is the English translation of the book “Nasze Drogi w Australii 1947 – 1977” published almost 45 years ago. This book covers the first thirty years of the lives and work of the members of the Carpathian Brigade in Australia. These soldiers/settlers initially migrated to Tasmania in 1947 and 1948, and then settled in various parts of Australia. Many of their descendants have little knowledge of their fathers or grandfathers pasts, stories, and contribution to the Polish and wider community in Australia.

The event will include:

• Book launch by Ed Kremzer – Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland (Tasmania)
• Q&A session
• Opportunity to purchase the book
• Refreshments
