About this objectSt John's Anglican Church is one of the oldest, best known and beautiful churches in Melbourne. In the early days the Governor of Victoria frequently attended services as did many citizens who made their mark in the growth of Melbourne. This is not only a history of the Church but reflects on the social history of Melbourne over the last 160 years.
Located on the corner of Clendon Road and Toorak Road, Toorak, the building was erected in 1860 to a design by William Wardell. Victorian Heritage Register no : H0204
