About this objectGlass slide of a sketch by John Adamson that depicts a newly built settlement of Melbourne from the Yarra River. There are buildings that are widely spread under a cloudy sky in the background. There is bushland that adjoins the settlement and in the foreground are two settlers beside a large rock.
One of many glass slides purchased from retailers or specifically made for illustrated lectures given by Isaac Selby between c. 1930 and c. 1955 to raise money for the Old Pioneers Memorial Fund.
