About this objectA B.E.2e aircraft on the ground at an unknown location, possibly in a paddock or on a beach. The aircraft is ex-Australian Flying Corps. Four civil B.E.2e aircraft were on the Australian register, and only one of these was registered in Victoria, to Hall's Air Service of Avonmore. If this image shows that aircraft, then its registration code is G-AUBD. The aircraft was first registered in June 1921 and struck off the register in June 1922.
A man stands in front of the aircraft, facing the camera. The pilot occupies the rear cockpit, and two men are standing in front of the port wing, facing away from the camera. The handwritten date "JAN 1922" appears in the lower left corner of the photograph.
