Pamela McGregor was born and spent her childhood in Camperdown, then lived in the Derrinallum district for many years, developing a strong bond with the region through teaching in local schools.
Lynton Oaten was appointed to teach at Derrinallum High School in 1966 and became instantly fascinated with the history of the region. He has maintained lifelong connections with many people in the district.
