Description
The Katandra History Group, formed in the hope that we may still preserve some of our fast vanishing past, has accepted the challenge to record the associated settlement schemes and the coming of irrigation that occurred from the end of the 1914-18 war through to the mid-1930s. To this end we have researched and published the individual histories of our WWI Soldier Settlers, together with the British and Australian Closer Soldiers. The result is an insight into a brief time in our history which has shaped this district’s structure until this very day.
