Stories from ASIO’s files

July 4, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

A doctor, teacher, gardener and spy.

These are just four of the real-life individuals from the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) files. But who were they and why was ASIO interested in them? Come along to find out about their fascinating stories!

This will be a hybrid (in-person and ZOOM) session presented by the National Archives of Australia in collaboration with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria and Genealogical Society of Victoria. Those who attend in person will also have a special guided tour of the Spy: espionage in Australia exhibition, which is on display at the Victorian Archives Centre until 7 July 2023.
