If you answered yes to any of these, then this workshop is for you. This hands-on workshop will cover:
the importance of transcribing oral history interviews, and the consequences of inaccurate
transcripts
the difference between spoken and written English and its significance for transcripts
setting out transcripts
transcription dilemmas and how to deal with them
hints for improving the value of transcripts
useful software
is voice recognition software a reasonable substitute?
ideas for using oral history transcripts
