About this objectGlass slide of a photograph showing Graham Berry standing in the doorway of his family grocery shop and wine and spirits merchant in Chapel Street, Prahran. The verandah is under construction, the family home is at the back of the shop and there are goods hanging in the doorway.
He served as a member of Parliament and became the Premier of Victoria in 1875.
One of many glass slides purchased from retailers or specifically made for illustrated lectures given by Isaac Selby between c. 1930 and c. 1955 to raise money for the Old Pioneers Memorial Fund.
Selby gave a lecture entitled 'Old Melbourne, Old Prahran and Toorak', at St John's Parish Hall, Jackson Street, Toorak, on 17th October 1929.
